Childhood books

This is a story I remember fondly from my childhood. My mum read to me before I went to sleep. I cannot remember when she stopped doing it. This is my original copy - what a treasure. Another book I remember and have just sourced is Tikki Tikki Tembo.

Do you know this book?

What was a special childhood book for you?

I remember reading this book to my kids when they were little ..... one of my very favourite books is THE VELVETEEN RABBIT ..... I cry every time I read that book when I get to the bit in the book where he talks about being real. I loved The Wishing Chair and The Magic Faraway Tree. I don't think I could entirely remember all the books I read as a child because I read so many.

I think the children brought Ping home from the library once. For me it was "Little Dream" by Cynthia Leonetti
