Here we go around the mulberry bush...

Did you know the mulberry bush does not exist?

No... it is actually a tree.

A TREE! Why does a nursery rhyme say bush? It sounds just as good when you sing tree...

You learn something new every day.

Sooo what are you working on right now?

Me?

I am trying to knit the Little Man a hat. Using a newborn pattern to make a warm winter will-be-three-year-old-by-then hat. It will go with a jumper I will also be knitting for him. Nothing like a bit of pressure to make sure I do it so they do get warn together hey (grin).

Slowly but surely

I am plowing my way through the Civil War Blocks before the site is closed down in June. This is the first time I am doing a 'proper' quilt apparently people... Just blocks - no stitching (rolling my eyes).

This is what thirty three blocks looks like. Nineteen more blocks to go. Not sure if I will have enough fabric (argh). (breath) It will be fine...

Good to make something different

Something about Rose petal jam that fills my head with thought of elegant ladies wearing period costumes sitting on a slight grass slope, stitching and eating delicate scones with Rose Petal Jam... (oh and cream)

What ideas comes in your head when you think of rose petal jam?

Yummy on icecream or in plain yoghurt... What have you eaten rose petal jam with?

Bawkkkk

Mavis: BETTY! What was that all about!

Betty: Well the little man opened the door so thought I check the neighbourhood out...
Gladdis (stares with disappointment at Betty)

Betty: What? He OPENED IT!
Mavis (stomps away)

Mavis: We had not even been here for 12 hours and you wonder off!
Gladdis: You really upset Mum. She even ironed!

Mavis: Well I am home... I am off to bed... I have not slept two days...
