My tiny little bit to assist the floods

I am joining Toni Coward from Make It Perfect to run auctions here on my blog. I am offering seven designer kits - complete with instructions, fabric and DMC to make the goodies. Each kit represent to this moment seven people I know personally who are effected directly by the floods. I ask you to think generously. Not only are you donating to the cause but you are also receiving an awsome kit to stitch. It is a win win. Please share this with your blogging friends and BID!!!

I will post a kit a day for seven days starting tomorrow!

What do you think?

My mama visited with a bundle of fabrics which her husband is clearing away... This is fabric I offered to rescue. I will make a skirt (for me) - like I have been doing recently. I got 'that look'.

I thought it would be so cool with black to frame it. Can you see the vision? Or have I gone a bit funny?

I did it again...

This is how I spent my New Years Eve. Another skirt for me. Finished free motioning it this morning.

I hope you all have safely moved into 2011 and this year brings us all much fun and chocolate!

Hexy crazy

While the stitching hexagon group have a Christmas break I have moved on to 1/2 inch hexagons. Will be making a journal cover with these little ones. So relaxing to do in front of the box in the evenings...

We still have not got our Christmas Tree up! Christmas cooking gifts starts this week and cards/letters are all mailed so we are going good. How are you going?

Healing Hearts for New Zealand

When a total stranger offers some empathy it has a big effect. I love the healing heart quilt idea so I have contributed to Shirley's Healing Heart Block call out. Thanks to Jo who brought it to my attention.
