Four Weeks

I cannot believe four weeks has passed since I gave birth to you. Four weeks of broken nights. Four weeks of making the most of you. Four weeks of thinking I just want things back to normal - but this is our normal and this will be our normal for a while.

You still feel so new to me. I don't feel any wiser in how to settle you. I don't feel any wiser as to what you want - many times. I have spent long times wondering what on earth do I do to stop you crying. I have spent many times crying while you cry. Moments of wondering what on earth I got myself into then you stop and look at me with those big blue eyes or you finally fall asleep...

Please dont grow up to fast and please help me a little along the way?

Oh Sarah, he is just absolutely gorgeous and looks so alert. I bet you spend hours just looking at him, I know I would. The pleasure you must be getting and the love you must be feeling for Gus would be overwhelming.
I must say I feel envious. We have 2 children but would have loved more, it just wasn't to be and although the kids are 19 and 17 now, I always have these little moments when I see adorable little
people.... then reality hits me in the face and I think whew!! lol
I'm far too old now.

Oh Sarah Honey , don't go under - if you need help, yell and scream and throw tantrums until you get some.....please !
The lack of sleep is crippling.

He is sooooo great! Hard work I'm sure, but anything really worth having is hard work! Those first few months are just so busy and it's mostly just eating and sleeping! Hope you are drinking every wonderful moment in!

ohh Im with you here. Hang on. luckily with no 3 i had a dream run, but my first two were incredibly difficult; i never quite worked them out in time.Get help if you need to. Sleep is essential to hanging on, especially with other kids and a partner! with no.3 i used the completely opposite approach to the first two (continuium concept babes) and went the managed sleep ababy option and it worked! lol
