Yes finally another quilt is finished! They are all coming together - woo hoo.
You have NO IDEA how many times I tried to take a photo of this quilt to really show off the fabrics. Several times during out the day in different places and I have given up so you will have to make do with this photo.
This is my youngest sons bed quilt. It may look simple - and yes it is but boy it seemed to take forever!
He asked me to quilt it as he wanted me to quilt it like this... When I gave it to him he said ' Mum this is so special because you did everything on this quilt for me'. Amazing how children notice those things.... I was going to get someone else to do the quilting...

Well, thats what quilting is all about, special.
Great job, Sarah and your boy was obviously impressed too.
I often have to take lots of photos to get a good one too.
Hope you are well.

Wonderful quilt! Your son obviously appreciates your time and talent in making this for him.
Great quilt for a boy! Love that he got interested and told you what he wanted!
Photo doesn't do it justice, looks so much better in real life!
awww - that would have made my heart melt! what a special boy :)
I con't belief how much you are getting done, Sarah! The quilt does not look simple at all and how special of your boy to know that the time you put into it has been for him. He will feel very comfortable under it!
It´s so lovely. I love blue :)
That's lovely, Sarah! What a nice boy you have! :-)
Love the quilt and great to hear that your efforts have not been lost on your son. I'm sure he will treasure this quilt always. I remember my elderly Grandmother stroking a quilt I hand quilted for her say "all those little stitches sewn just for me". She has since passed away and when I look at this quilt that I now have back I remember her words, as I'm sure you will do too.
Aww, so nice to hear that he loves his quilt. Such a nice boy. The colours are just right for a boy's quilt. Well done!
This is something I have been pondering lately. Obviously your son feels your love under his handmade quilt (sounds like an excellent kid!), but is there something tangible or real about that feeling he gets? Is handmade better because of the thoughts we think when we make it? I don't know. I just feel that it is.
what a wonderful quilt and it sounds like it is very loved already!
