I suggest strongly you watch this TED video. Brene Brown talks about worthiness/courage/compassion/connection and vulnerability.

It silenced me and I recon it will do the same for you.

    Isn't this the most fabulous thing, I heard this and then went and ordered her book which I am thoroughly enjoying reading. Makes you think alright.
